Slurry/Waste Managment | Slurry Spreading Deadline Approaching

Slurry Spreading Deadline Approaching

As Winter is quickly approaching, farmers are now preparing to empty their slurry tanks in the coming weeks. The ground conditions these days are reasonable so it is an ideal time to ensure tanks are fully emptied before the long closed period for spreading.

At Genfitt, we are here to help! We are the largest independent wholesale distributor of farm machinery parts, agricultural components and spares to the agricultural trade sector in Ireland. We supply all the necessary slurry/waste management parts. We offer fittings, gate valves, discharge spares, hosing and other slurry tank components. At just a click of a button, you can make an order and receive your delivery within 24 hours. With just 14 days until the deadline (15th October 2021), now is the time to ensure your Slurry Tanker is in perfect working order.

As we know, mixing and spreading slurry are very dangerous activities. Drowning, gas poisoning and farm machinery injuries are the main risk areas associated with slurry season. Over the 10 year period to 2020, 10% of deaths have been slurry-related.  Teagasc explains all the necessary safety precautions to take in the coming weeks along with some useful tips to prevent accidents.

Fittings

There are various types of essential fittings and couplings that are needed for Slurry Tankers. Italian couplings, Perrot Couplings and Baeur Couplings are just some of the slurry tanker fittings we supply at Genfitt. All fittings have a galvanized finish to ensure maximum durability.

Gate Valves

In order to control slurry flow a gate valve is necessary. At Genfitt, we have a range of complete Gate Valves to choose from along with any spares you may require.

Spares

It is impossible to know when a part will go on the slurry tanker. You can be extremely lucky and not have any issues. However the time will come when you need to replace small parts in order to get through the slurry season. That’s why at Genfitt, we have a range of spares to cover various models of tankers.

Hosing

In order to fill slurry, a slurry hose is required. When a hose stops functioning, it can bring the entire operation to a grinding halt, significantly affecting production rates. At Genfitt, we have a selection of elastic and rubber suction hoses to suit all preferences.
